Terms of service

Kept is a macOS application sold by MPIV. Buying, installing, or using Kept means you accept these terms. Questions before you buy: michael@mpiv.ai.

Purchases

Kept is sold through Paddle.com, our merchant of record. Paddle runs the checkout, processes your payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and issues your receipt. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the transaction itself.

Your license

A Kept purchase is a one-time license for one person. Install and activate it on Macs you personally use. Updates are included for the life of the license, delivered through the app's built-in updater.

Your license key arrives on-screen after checkout and by email from support@mpiv.ai. Keep it; it is your proof of purchase. If you lose it, email us and we regenerate it from your purchase record.

Do not resell, share, or publish your license key. We can revoke keys that are refunded or distributed against these terms.

Trial

Kept includes a 14-day free trial with the full feature set. No payment details are needed to start it.

Your files

Meetings recorded with Kept, and every note, transcript, and audio file it produces, are yours. They live in the vault folder you choose, in ordinary formats, and these terms claim no rights over them.

Warranty and liability

Kept is provided as is. We work to keep it reliable and safe, and the recovery design never hard-deletes your recordings, but we cannot promise the software is free of defects. To the extent the law allows, MPIV's total liability for any claim connected to Kept is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.

Changes

If these terms change, the current version lives at this address with an updated date. Changes never take away a license you already bought.
